Markdown Preview
Edit Markdown on the left, see a live preview on the right — copy MD or HTML anytime.
Live preview — nothing leaves your browser
How to preview Markdown
- Type or paste Markdown, or tap Load example.
- Use Bold / Italic / Code / Link / List chips to wrap the selection.
- Watch the live preview update — switch Split, Preview, or Source.
- Copy Markdown or sanitized HTML when you’re done.
Why a live Markdown preview still matters
READMEs, docs, and posts are written in short loops: tweak a heading, check a table, fix a list. A split editor keeps source and rendered output on screen without uploading drafts or waiting on a chat reply. Sanitized HTML export bridges Markdown writing and places that need HTML — still fully private in the browser.
FAQ
Is my Markdown uploaded?
No. Parsing and preview run in your browser. DevDock does not send your draft to a server.
What Markdown is supported?
GitHub-flavored basics: headings, emphasis, lists, task lists, links, images, code blocks, blockquotes, tables, and horizontal rules. Output HTML is sanitized before display.
What do Copy MD and Copy HTML do?
Copy MD copies your source. Copy HTML copies the sanitized HTML from the preview — handy for pasting into CMS fields or emails that accept HTML.
Are the toolbar buttons required?
No. You can type Markdown by hand. The chips wrap the current selection (or insert a placeholder) so common formatting is faster.
Is the HTML in the preview safe to paste?
The preview HTML is sanitized before display. Still review before pasting into production CMS fields — sanitizers differ by host.
